Accommodation There are two comfy Lodges available ,Cascada and Laguna (Laguna is unavailable at this time due to facelift,but is nearing completion,and will be back in service in a couple of weeks). Both very different from the norm. The main farmhouse is used to provide all catered meals and beverages. A modern swimming pool, and Sauna suite is available to guests ,as is a large sheltered traditional red clay brick patio ,for barbeques and lounging! |

CascadaNestled in a gully between two steep hills, with a cascading torrent flowing underneath the cottage, (only in the winter months, it just doesn't rain here in the summer! ) this award winning design, features glass. Large glass sliding doors at either end of the living room opens the whole house to a cool breeze in the summer. Glass is used extensively inside for walls to create a bright and open feel to this lodge. The large balcony at the front provides great views of Laguna Torca at the front ,and a very private rock plunge pool, at the rear! In fact makes a wonderful Honeymoon hideaway! The upper floor accommodation consists of:- Large open plan living/dining area. Full kitchen facilities. Full size cooker and fridge. Two bedrooms Master bedroom with large shower room and separated toilet facilities Second bedroom with large twin beds, separate bathroom Lower floor : Complete Sauna suite with full bathroom. Leads directly to a very private plunge pool in the solid rock and secluded patio .Privacy guaranteed! |

In the summer the stream dries and we use the pool for cooling off.
Laguna
Laguna Lodge is a modernized, traditional old farm cottage with adobe walls ,which has been extended into a same era barn creating a modern spacious living area. With two master suites ,with private bathroom and two double bedrooms . There is also a Sauna suite and bathroom , and a swimming pool. We have tried hard to retain the traditional feel to this lodge, keeping the adobe walls and old doors and windows . We have retained the high ceilings in the main living area, ensuring a cool and relaxed atmosphere. As you can see from ther picture opposite the Laguna Lodge is nearly ready, just some finishing touches needed. That´s Carlos in the picture and he is responsible for the excellent workmanship in this long conversion! It makes a large lodge. A quick word about out climate .we are in a unique micro climate here,which means we get the hot summers of the central valley, but the temperature are moderated by our closeness to the ocean. Cool breezes are the norm,and at night you may even need a blanket, even in summer. Add to that very little humidity and you are looking at a near perfect climate! (I Think :-) |
